WHO ARE WE?

Room & Co (R+C) is an importer, distributor and seller of furniture and homewares with a principal warehouse and showroom in Virginia, Brisbane, Queensland. Our showroom is open to trade professionals and retail stockists by appointment only, during regular business hours Monday to Friday. Please call us in advance, we’ll be glad to show you around.

HOW DO I REGISTER TO SELL YOUR PRODUCTS?

We would be glad to welcome you as a qualified reseller.

Please fill in your details in the Get in touch with Us section including Australian Business Number (ABN), retail store address (if you are a stockist) or studio address if you are an interior designer or similar professional.

HOW ARE PRODUCTS ORDERED, SHIPPED AND DELIVERED?

A minimum of 48 hours is required from receipt of payment until Goods are ready for shipment or collection.

We will arrange delivery if you are located in the delivery areas serviced by R+C or its third party nominated carrier.

If you wish to nominate your own carrier for delivery, are outside our local delivery area, or wish to collect the Goods from our warehouse in Brisbane, please let us know when placing your order.

Any charges for delivery will be added to the price of the Goods.

CAN I CUSTOM ORDER A PRODUCT AND WHAT IS YOUR LEAD TIME?

Yes! our designers can work with you for any custom order, including full container loads delivered anywhere in Australia. There are standard lead times and minimum order quantities for custom orders and require a minimum deposit to manufacture.

HOW CAN I PAY FOR AN ORDER?

Pricing is subject to change without notice. Payment in full must be received before any order is available for collection or dispatch. A deposit equal to 50% is required to hold stock for orders more than seven (7) days in advance of shipping/collection date. R+C does not offer a refund on change of mind purchases once deposit is paid. Payment can be made by direct deposit or by credit card, which incurs a surcharge of 2.2%.

WHAT MATERIALS ARE USED IN THE MANUFACTURE AND WHAT CARE IS RECOMMENDED WITH THE PRODUCTS?

Most of our products are hand made and using natural materials ensuring each piece is distinctively different and possesses unique characteristics. Small variations or imperfections in color, design, size and finish may occur from piece to piece and from online representations to delivered items. Every effort is made to achieve consistency of colour, texture and finish, this however is not guaranteed and no liability will be accepted by R+C for said variations.

Products made from certain natural fibres may present tonal variations within the fibre, which are not considered faults. Cracking, splitting, natural defects or leaching of natural oils may be present in natural timbers and are not considered faults. R+C cannot be held responsible for damages incurred from the leaching of natural timber oils. Any product that is hand made from natural materials will age naturally, and eventual changes in the look and/or feel of the finish is normal and expected.

Care: All furniture made from rattan, wicker, cane, seagrass, banana leaf fibres and other natural materials should be kept under cover, away from direct sunlight and moisture.

Due to possible exposure to weather conditions, including sun, humidity or moisture, any external use voids any applicable warranty.

When left outside, and if the furniture becomes wet, leave to dry. Prolonged dampness can lead to mould.

To maintain natural furniture clean, dust regularly with a soft cloth, a soft brush, or vacuum the piece with the brush attachment of a vacuum cleaner. A soft bristled toothbrush is ideal for those hard to get places. Periodically wipe it down with a soft cloth.

 Cushions: We recommend a simple vacuum of your fabric cushions every week and loose seat and back cushions should be rotated and plumped regularly to extend the life of the fabric and the foam. Always lift your sofas, never drag them as you may break or scratch the legs. It is common for seat foams to soften over time. Avoid direct heat such as sunlight, fires or air-conditioners to prevent fading, moisture build up and/or scorching. Sharp objects can cause nagging, tearing or pulling of the fabric. Cut any loose threads off the sofa, do not pull them. Minor spills should be quickly blotted with an absorbent paper towel or clean cloth to avoid staining. Avoid using aggressive household cleaners.

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

Only damaged or defective products are eligible for returns and are subject to prior authorisation by R+C, and must be shipped within seven (7) days of receipt of the product through an approved third-party carrier. R+C may, at its sole discretion issue exchanges, but not refunds. Please note that slight imperfections in paint and finish are not defects of a product, as these form and integral part of the product and only enhance its character and design, and therefore not eligible for credit claim.

Additional freight fees will be incurred when making an exchange, when applicable, as well as restocking or handling fees at the sole discretion of R+C.

We cannot offer a refund if you change your mind, please see our full T&C’s for more information. In most cases we may consider a restocking fee exclusive of any return delivery costs if you wish to apply for store credit. Please contact us to discuss your circumstances.
